Working With Our Community To Help Those In Need
It's Better to Give Than To Receive
WHAT WE DO
01.
— Gas Vouchers
Working hand in hand with Express Market & Deli as well as Swaffords & Son the Hope Foundation is able to issue gas vouchers for those in need of travel. The travel needs can vary – maybe it is for personal illness, cancer related, dialysis, following accidents, etc.
02.
— Home Needs
I the time we have been in existance we have been able to work with families who have found themselves in a hard place. This might be with handicap ramps, heating, cooling, utilities and more.
03.
— Acts Of Kindness
An organization favorite is when a concerned citizen of our community comes to us and shares the needs of a neighbor, senior citizen, child, etc. Its often hard to ask for assistance for yourself. Random acts of kindness happen often.
04.
— Support Our Youth
We love our youth – as we all know they are our future. We have worked hand in hand with the Allix LaRue Family in presenting the Allix LaRue Memorial Scholarship, we have assisted with senior trip needs. In addition we have culbs in our schools the “Hope Club” is very popular.
05.
— We Consult
The foundation strives to be part of a hub within our community. We are not always able to assist but we work closely with other giving organization to find answers.
06.
— Community Involvement
Not every event we are involved in raising tons of money. We love to be in the community through a number of events. Things like Breakfast with Santa, Easter Egg Hunt, Being in the Christmas Parade, Working with Halloween on the square and so much more.
OUR APPROACH
Seek the needs of our community
We have an open door at Advance Imaging, which service as our location. We have an application that is reviewed and voted on by the board of directors.
There are a number of ways that a need makes it way to the Fentress Hope Foundation. Individuals can make a request by filing out an applications. We work closely with UCHRA, the nursing home, the schools, and strive to be part of our community. Through this involvement we find needs.
All funds raised through the foundation are used on the needs of Fentress County residents. Neighbors raising money for neighbors.
